Siemens transfers 6.8% equity in Siemens Energy
Transfer 6.8% equity to Siemens Pension Trust
This transfer will expand Siemens' pension assets in Germany
Siemens' total investment in Siemens Energy AG decreased from 31.9% to 25.1%.
Siemens AG has transferred 6.8% equity of Siemens Energy AG to Siemens Pension Trust e.V. As a result, the equity of Siemens Energy AG held by Siemens AG decreased to 25.1%. Through this initiative, Siemens is implementing the previously announced plan to reduce its investment in Siemens energy. Transferring equity to Siemens Pension Trust will help Siemens expand its pension assets in Germany.
Prior to the spin off of Siemens Energy and before and after its public listing, Siemens had stated that it would further reduce its investment in Siemens Energy based on factors such as strategic and operational development, market environment, etc.
Siemens Pension Trust independently manages Siemens pension within the framework of the investment guidelines.
Siemens will share more information in its third quarter financial report for the 2023 fiscal year, which will be released on August 10th.
